We have two complete mobile Macbook laptop carts and two iPad2 mobile carts that assist students in using tools and strategies available to the modern day learner. Grades 5th to 8th have Google Chromebooks.
Smartboard technology is available and utilized in each K-8 classroom. Smartboards provide limitless opportunities for creative, interactive instruction and learning.
Technology continues to change the way we learn and is constantly evolving. Our Technology program extends 21st century teaching practices and skills to our faculty. We have a Technology Educationalist on staff that assists the teachers in how to effectively integrate technology into the classroom. This, in turn, optimizes class curriculum by enriching the students learning experience through the use of technology.
IHM follows the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) of practice.
Our science building opened in 2005, and is extensively equipped with computers and general equipment such as science sensors, pro scopes, and microscopes. Our human biology aids include a skeleton and organ models. The facilities are used by our 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students. For a tour click here.
The homework study time is available from between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The program includes a multitude of activities, both inside and outside, including play time, rest time, cooking, art and reading.
